THOMAS MIRA Y LOPEZ earned an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from the University of Arizona and is the 2017–2018 Kenan Visiting Writer at UNC-Chapel Hill. Previously he was an Olive B. O’Connor Fellow in Creative Nonfiction at Colgate University. He has published in numerous journals such as The Georgia Review and The Kenyon Review online (including a “Notable” Best American Essay selection) and has received a scholarship and fellowship from Bread Loaf and MacDowell respectively.
